INVISIBLE WALL

AGLOMERADO DA SERRA (2021/22)

Urban Art Gallery
Located on Binário street (in the "Cafezal" favela), the Invisible Wall Art Gallery operated in a drive-thru format (due to the context of the Covid-19 pandemic) for visitors and local residents for 8 months.

Featured art pieces
The drawings were created with ink on paper during the year of 2020 and adapted for the project (to be displayed in the street).

Creating the urban gallery
Ten large metal canvas, each 1.6 meters high, make up the open-air exhibition.

Virtual Tour
The space was transformed into a game that simulated the real location, allowing free access to the Gallery and the exhibition from anywhere in the world.

SUBURBAN HEART (2022)
Participation in the documentary series about various suburbs in the southeastern region of Brazil.

Art Exhibition:
The drawings developed during the artistic residency period and the works from the Invisible Wall Gallery were presented.

Creating the Setting:
For the scene, my studio and an art exhibition with recent works were recreated. The filming location was the third floor of the LáDaFavelinha Cultural Center.

The documentary interview series was conducted by brazilian actor Rafael Portugal. Watch the trailer below:

ARTISTIC RESIDENCY (2021)
Community Association of Residents of Vila Santana do Cafezal.

Studio and Art Exhibition:
Following an invitation from the Association, I moved my creative space, for six months, to a room inside the ACM Cafezal, a place that aims to support its community.

Art works developed:
Ink on paper drawings made in 2021 there.
